Yearbook

Yearbook News

Greetings, Vikings. The Valhal recently learned that we had again been selected for our publisher's Gallery of Excellence, an award given only to the top 3% of the over 3000 books they publish. With the 50 th anniversary yearbook due this year, our goal is to produce the best yet. We had an excellent sales turnout during Orientation and the first few weeks of September, and we hope to keep up the momentum. Please note the important information regarding sales, senior portraits, and ads. Thanks for your support!

Sales

The sales list has been updated through the end of the year, and is posted in the window of room 14, and on the montgomeryhighschool.com website. If you have bought a yearbook, please check to make sure your name is properly listed. If not, contact the yearbook by email ( sforrest@srcs.k12.ca.us ) or drop a note in the yearbook basket in the main office. We will need to see either a receipt or a copy of cancelled check or bank statement, and we will gladly update our records if we have made a verifiable error.

If you have not yet bought your yearbook, you will want to make sure you get one in the time remaining. This is the 50 th anniversary edition of the award-winning Valhal , and promises to be a special keepsake. Books are available for $85 cash or check at the Business Office at lunch time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, February 5 – February 14, and again from March 4 – March 13. Our final sales period will be April 15 through May 1, and books will be sold for $90 each, cash only, at that time. No books will be sold on Distribution Day. A limited number of books will be sold on a first come, first served basis after school during Finals Week for $100, cash only. Take advantage of the incentive and buy your book early. We will update the sales list as soon as possible after each sales period. Make sure your name appears on the list ahead of time.

Distribution Day is the Friday before finals, May 23. Books will be distributed from the South Gym immediately after school. NO books will be distributed early. We will only be giving books to people whose names appear on our sales list. Please resolve any issues ahead of time! Any discrepancies that show up at distribution will be addressed the following week. You may arrange to have someone pick up a book for you if you specifically authorize that person to do so ahead of time – please leave a note for Mr. Forrest in the yearbook basket with your name and the name of the person who will receive the book.

Once the fall sales period ends, we will have periodic sales throughout the year, which will be announced and promoted at school and through the Messenger. Books sold at this time will be $85 cash or check, and will not include ASB membership. Our final sales period will be April 15 th through May 1 st , 2008 , and books sold at that time will cost $90, cash only. No books will be sold on Distribution Day, Friday May 23 rd . Books will be sold on a first come, first served basis after school during Finals Week for $100, cash only.

We are holding our prices constant during the fall sales period, but the other prices have risen somewhat. We encourage everyone to buy their book early. SAVE YOUR RECEIPT or CANCELLED CHECK. This is your proof that you have bought a book.
